NATIONAL TOURISM WEEK

April 20-24, 2026

Now in its 16th year, National Tourism Week is a dynamic, weeklong social media campaign organized by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC). This event is a platform for highlighting the pivotal role tourism plays as part of Canada’s economy and indeed, its identity. TIAC along with its partners is inviting Canadians to partake in celebrating the nation’s finest offerings to the world.


ANNUAL HERITAGE CONFERENCE

May 4-6, 2026 – Sea to Sky, BC

Heritage BC’s Annual Conference is a chance for professionals across the heritage sector in BC to come together to connect, learn and discuss the future of heritage. Each year it features discussions on the most pressing topics that heritage professionals are grappling with including climate change, governance, conservation, planning, intangible cultural heritage, reconciliation and more.


6th ANNUAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

May 8, 2026 – Cranbrook

Takes place at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort.  Chasing Balance and Choosing Self, this conference is about reconnecting with yourself, respecting boundaries and making space for what fuels your well-being.  The day is dedicated to connection, reflection and personal growth. It is open to all women who are ready to invest in themselves.


BC ECONOMIC SUMMIT

May 11-14 – Penticton Trade & Convention Centre

Hosted by the BC Economic Development Association, the Summit focuses on the real-world challenges and opportunities facing communities today, including economic resilience and disaster recovery, workforce development, innovation, business retention and community-driven growth.


2026 ORCBC CONFERENCE

May 20-22, 2026 – Kamloops, BC

The Outdoor Recreation Council of BC will also be celebrating a half a century of promoting and protecting outdoor recreation in BC. The conference theme is Building Stronger Communities Through Outdoor Recreation and will provide a vital platform for collaboration on key issues such as access, stewardship, reconciliation, inclusion and the economic value of recreation to communities, tourism and rural development.


TOURISM GOLDEN AGM

May 27, 2026 – Golden, BC

The Tourism Golden Annual General Meeting is a great opportunity to meet and engage with the board of directors, staff and fellow businesses. Complimentary food and beverages will be served. The event will take place at the Raven + Pine Mountain Eatery, with some excellent guest speakers. 4-6pm.


KORE OUTDOORS SUMMIT

September 17-18, 2026 – Kimberley, BC

The KORE Outdoors Summit is Canada’s only conference dedicated to outdoor gear and the rec-tech manufacturing and product design sector that creates it. The event takes place at the Kimberley Alpine Resort’s Conference Centre and anyone interested in outdoor gear design and manufacturing is invited to attend.


TOURISM CONGRESS

November 17-19, 2026 – Fredericton, NB

Tourism experts will gather in Fredericton, New Brunswick to explore the 2026 Congress theme of Access: Unlocking Canada’s Tourism Advantage. This year’s program will feature several updates designed to enhance the delegate experience, including expanded networking opportunities, integrating the Canadian Tourism Awards further in the Congress experience, and more.


INDIGENOUS TOURISM GATHERING & AGM

November 3-6, 2026 – Vancouver, BC

The event will bring together Indigenous tourism businesses, community leaders and industry partners from across the province.
