Google is a major player on how users discover products and services around the world and the data in many of Google’s online properties, including maps, local search and reviews is supplemented through a Google My Business (GMB) profile.  It’s a free and easy-to-use tool.

Regional travel consumer website showcasing all registered tourism businesses for the Kootenay Rockies region.  Online presence is available for no cost in a number of categories including Partner page, Festivals & Events and Travel Offers. Content from the Travel Offers page is considered for inclusion in KRT monthly consumer newsletter to 11,000+ subscribers.


POWDERHIGHWAY.COM

Regional micro-site  showcasing the winter experiences product for the Kootenay Rockies region. The region is branded as British Columbia’s Powder Highway – an adventure-filled highway with a high concentration of alpine resorts, cat-skiing, heli-skiing, backcountry lodges and more.   Powder Highway branded clothing is now available to purchase online here.


BCRAILTRAILS.COM

This website represents Rail Trails for the province of BC – currently showcasing trails for the Kootenay Rockies and the Thompson Okanagan regions. It is a ‘go-to’ resource for trail users when planning their trip and using the rail trails. The site launched June 2021 and continues to be developed with relevant business listings.  Business listings are FREE and consist of a photo, phone, email and web link. If your businesses has a focus on bike rentals, service, gear sales; you’re a packager or major attraction along a rail trail – you may have a listing on the site.


SUPERNATURALBC.COM

Provincial travel consumer website for British Columbia.  Through an agreement with TripAdvisor, Destination BC has established a regular automatic feed of primary information on BC’s tourism products from TripAdvisor’s listings over to the SuperNaturalBC.com consumer website. Follow these steps to ensure presence on SuperNaturalBC.com:

  • Create a listing on Trip Advisor (TA) or Claim Your existing Listing,
  • Visit DestinationBC.net and register (create a Contact),
  • Once TripAdvisor listing is approved, the DBC team will connect the Contact to the TA listing.

Destination BC’s (DBC) mandate is to support and promote the business of tourism throughout the province. They are structured to develop and deliver programs and services that attract visitors to BC and help ensure that the quality of their vacation experience keeps them coming back.  DBC has a number of resources and opportunities to help tourism operators grow their business.
