If you would like to participate, with any of the meal functions, we must receive your Registration by Oct 10, 10 a.m. mountain time.  After this time, we can only accept ‘Conference Only’ registrations.

So, don’t delay – Register Now – and join us for a day of informative guest speakers and workshops.  Chris Dadson will present his last annual President’s Report on the Kootenay Rockies Region and the afternoon will feature Professor Rod Harris, from Royal Roads University delivering a presentation on Shock Waves Facing the Industry. The day will conclude with discussions on Social Media.

This year, go2: The Resource for People in Tourism are again generously contributing to the event through sponsorship. We are pleased they will also be presenting British Columbia’s New Tourism Labour Market Strategy.

Here is a brief overview on the Strategy:

Feeling the Labour Crunch?

The new Tourism Labour Market Strategy will help you manage workforce challenges.

The industry will be a leader in job growth in BC with more than 101,000 new job openings to fill between now and 2020. go2, BC’s tourism human resource association, has released the BC Tourism Labour Market Strategy to outline the plan to recruit, retain and train the workers needed to keep pace with the growth projected for the industry.

In this detailed report, you’ll learn why we cannot just rely on young workers to fill these openings – and you’ll learn how we can work together to address the challenges facing small, rural and seasonal businesses in the Kootenay Rockies and throughout the province.  Download the free report at www.go2hr.ca/strategy

Join us for business and stay for the celebration!
