Help Build British Columbia’s Magnetic Brand
A web tile, featuring the new Super, Natural British Columbia logo, is now available for your community, sector organization or tourism business website. Including this web tile on your website can help to unify our marketing efforts and strengthen our collective voice in promoting British Columbia to the world. We hope you will take advantage of this simple tool to help build BC’s magnetic brand, together.
We need to remain relevant and compelling in an increasingly competitive global context. We are working collaboratively with Destination BC, communities, businesses and sectors to address the need for tourism destination development strategies that enhance BC and the Kootenay Rockies (KR) region as a destination of choice.
From September 21-23, 2016, stakeholders from the West Kootenay and Revelstoke area were invited to participate in a full-day session hosted in three locations: Nakusp, Ainsworth Hot Springs and Trail. The purpose of this workshop is to help provide context to the tourism operating environment, identify and assess the tourism development issues and opportunities relevant to their planning area and have a preliminary discussion on the tourism vision for their destination.

Marketing campaigns are offered to registered Tourism Partners of Kootenay Rockies Tourism. They are opportunities to market individual businesses in collaboration with others, under the guidelines of British Columbia’s Tourism Partners Program.
This new program has been developed to energize British Columbia and make it the most recommended destination in North America. Remarkable Experiences is designed to provide tools to help individual businesses improve their visitor experience and become the best digital marketers they can be. The program enables tourism operators to become experts in areas such as experience design, social media and digital marketing.
Destination BC has partnered with Kootenay Rockies Tourism to deliver the 2016/17 Remarkable Experiences Program along the Highway #1 Connector. This year’s program is available to tourism businesses from Revelstoke to Golden (including Parson & Field), specific to tourism products available during our off-season (non-ski).
