Dear Tourism Industry Colleague,

We are pleased to extend to your business an opportunity to register with our Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) and participate in the many collaborative marketing programs directed at the positive development of tourism in the Kootenay Rockies region.

As one of British Columbia’s six official DMOs, we are contracted to Tourism British Columbia (TBC), a Crown Corporation, to deliver cost-shared collaborative marketing and promotional programs.   These programs are integrated with the overall provincial tourism strategies and are supported financially by Tourism BC.

Our goals are essentially very straight forward.  We are committed to assist the businesses and communities of the Kootenay Rockies region to develop an integrated, coordinated and effective regional tourism industry through strategic initiatives directed at product development, marketing and advocacy.

We believe a tourism industry of this nature can play a key role in providing dynamic business opportunities, job creation and an increase in quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

We invite you to register as a Tourism Partner with Kootenay Rockies Tourism and be a part of the Kootenay Rockies tourism industry - an industry with a bright future.

Thank you for your interest.

Yours in tourism,

Chris Dadson
President, Kootenay Rockies Tourism

Registration as a 'Tourism Partner' is available to tourism businesses, organizations, communities and consortiums actively operating a business, facility or service which is a component of a destination vacation package and/or experience in the Kootenay Rockies region. (southeast corner of British Columbia).

There is no fee to become a Tourism Partner.   And, the free benefits of joining as a Partner include the following:

2) Collective Representation in Destination Marketing  - Representatives from Kootenay Rockies staff attend several International Marketplace and various Consumer Trade Shows.   The entire region and all of its tourism products are promoted to Tour Operators, Media and Consumers from around the world (i.e. Japan, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the UK, Canada, United States & more).

3) Brochure Distribution – Your individual brochure will be mailed-out with the regional publications to the destination visitor (upon request).

We will also include your ‘new product information’ in Tourism BC’s New Product Bulletin.  This publication is printed three times a year and is available in hard copy and electronic format.  The publication is made available to the Travel Trade and Tourism BC’s partners.

5) Tour Operator Contacts -   Upon return from several ‘Tour Operator Marketplaces’, including Canada’s West and Rendezvous Canada there are Sales Leads available to the ‘export ready’ Partners, enabling each Partner to complete a direct follow-up with each Tour Operator.
